    I can't drive, so this has made finding a new job very difficult

    just a quick tip, for interviews when they ask you if you have reliable transportation, just say "yes." don't go into any further detail, it's none of their business. all they need to know is that you can get to work reliably, you're not lying by saying yes as long as you've figured out a way to get there.

      That's definitely a very good idea, but I already do this. A month ago I got a job offer and then ghosted after they saw my ID wasn't a driver's license.

      It also limits my potential job pool significantly since I'm only applying to things I can reasonably get to with the shitty public transportation in my town. Eventually I'd like to save up for an e-bike, but that's a ways off without a job.

        gotcha, just making sure cause that's kind of an unintuitive one. i know my first instinct in any social situation is to go into detail, and im constantly having to remind myself that i have to treat employers like the enemy (because they are)

        I've been there though comrade. i just got my driver's license a couple months ago at 24, and my city doesn't have usable public transport
