Someone needs to write a method for people to "subscribe" to emotes from another server and push it upstream. Discord style emote sharing for federation would promote a diversification of cultures across instances and encourage more instances to build up interesting and unique sets of emotes.
Tbf we don't either. This is a common complaint. Finding emotes here is really hard because you need to know the names of them. There was talk of a tagging system being made for it but I don't know where work on that is at now.
Lol yes, there's too many and finding a specific one in the selector is hard. We need to add tags and descriptions to the emotes so that they can be found under multiple different things you might type in.
