I'm getting a hour-glass.
Much better than a regular timer when you're doing the "Pomodoro" method and have to get something done. But I also have a nice lava-lamp, which is great when you're listening to music. And a record-player for vinyl CDs. And fidget toys for my ADHD and Autism (to stim while I'm doing something).
I'll be honest: I need eitiher:
Portability
Analog
If I can't carry it or if it's not mechanical, the i don't care.
My people, carburetors are a mechanical marvel
Oh boy, here I go ordering jets again
this might be the thread that finally gets my husband on Hexbear
ask him what he thinks about metering rod carburetors and then pretend to listen, he'll love it
or write down what he thinks and let me know i kind of want to try one
Well, now I know a new thing! 😂
He hasn't played with one in a long time because they're not used in small engine applications, but he likes them. He wants to know what kind of vehicle you're wanting to try one on?
Either a 660cc thumper or a 1200cc v-twin, but they both have pumpers that seem to work great at one elevation so it's not like I'm trying to solve a problem with a metering rod. They just seem neat
If you haven't seen this, it's well worth the time:
