Honestly, we don't usually- before federation I'd say the vibe was more cozy. We'd mostly make a couple of posts discussing stuff, and things only got heated around here when there was a big argument. But federation kinda activated most of us, at first for the novelty, and then the ol' Chapo spirit kicked in when we realized that Redditors did us the service of bringing their bad takes here for us to yell at them for.

r/Chapotraphouse already had a unique site culture, then being on our own in exile for so long has made the in-jokes extra impenetrable.
