    yk this lib bought it sometime around the late 2010s when they all thought elon musk was irl ironman and the greatest genius of our age before he made his chuddery obvious

      I totally wanted a Tesla when I was younger. Seemed like it was going down the path of affordability, there was gonna be superchargers in every gas station, etc.

      If you asked me 10 years ago, I would've thought EVs would be absolutely dominating the market, maybe hitting 1/3 of new sales. Its like ~7% currently. Boy was I naive.

      Probably could've been possible if the government had any interest in that, but I digress.

      From January to March of this year, nearly 1.9 million electric cars were sold in China, marking an almost 35% increase compared to sales in the first quarter of 2023. In March, NEV sales in China surpassed a share of 40% in overall car sales for the first time, according to retail sales reported by the China Passenger Car Association.
