Loved it. Pick up absolutely everything not nailed down and cart it over to the recycler. You get more for whole objects than scrap

deeply enjoyed it but the cyberspace sections tried my patience in places, i wish i knew so i could have turned their difficulty down before starting the game

Really liked it, except for that one bossfight early on with the Cortex Reaver.

    spoiler

As someone who actually liked the climax of the original System Shock, I was kinda let down by how the remake handled the showdown against SHODAN. It's been overhauled since I played it, so IDK if it's still as underwhelming.

Great game. Kinda iffy on the remake aspect since it evidently went for a different tone and atmosphere from the original (which is fine since you can still play SS1EE), but it's fantastic if you look at it as its own experience.

    As for tips:

    • On each floor there's a specific room with security nodes that once you destroy them, the screen in the room displays a specific number. Write it down in order of floor. You'll need it later, and it will save you the headache of needing to backtrack.

    • Keep a variety of weapons with different ammo types. Abuse power refill stations which are essentially limitless (even if they need a cooldown) and use power-based weapons to save ammo on other guns. But don't use those weapons too much since running out of power in the middle of a fight can be fatal.

    • You can stash weapons and items for later in a spot by the elevator.

    • Don't get too frustrated about getting lost and confused. That's the point. You're supposed to feel like you're in an inhospitable space-labyrinth that's literally the body of a murderous, sapient AI goddess trying to murder you. You'll find your way eventually by trying to fill out the map and listening to audio logs dropping hints.
