In Ukraine, the far-right Azov militia is fighting on the frontline – and running a summer camp for children.

The Guardian visited the camp and followed 16-year-old Anton through his experiences. Is the Azov battalion really creating a modern Hitler Youth organisation, or is it trying to prepare young Ukrainians for the tough reality that awaits them?

We're gonna see child soldiers at some point, aren't we?
Oh we def already have
I mean individual kids sure, but nothing at a systemic level yet, right?
Not that I've heard of, and I'm pretty sure we would have seen videos of it by now if it was a thing, like with the kidnapping of conscripts and stuff. I don't think Ukraine has demonstrated the ability to keep secrets that well.
Not yet. Ukraine's approach was to go older first and protect 15-27 year olds as a "next generation" for the country after the war. They reduced conscription age to 25 this year, if the war continues they will reduce it again and again.
Thankfully no, just individual accounts
This is from 2016 so some of these kids probably did grow up to become casualties.
