Since I have a white baby now

the very existence of the white child is not only problematic but a trauma, a bleeding wound

okay calm down gilles deleuze

the end goal is obviously not “civil discourse” or even “sociological inquiry” but something more like the Romanov family experienced in 1918. Good luck kids!

white people get real anxious about how they seek out and underpay bipoc women to raise their children. it's pathetic.

shout-out to the Atlanta EP "trini 2 de bone". a whole episode of scenes that had me laughing with tears, but not in the cynical way so much comedy does.

Their have been multiple movies made within the last three years about Filipina nannies working for white British people and being subjected to all kinds of horror. I don't know if it's because it's a serious problem in Britain or if it's just a case of convergent evolution ("Hey no one has made a movie about Filipina nannies in England, we should make that a movie!" says four different studios).

      The two I've seen are:

      • Nocebo (2022)

      • Raging Grace (2023)
