It’s just really really hard for me to accept I guess, but that quality is super important in climbing the fascist corporate ladder. Missed out a spot in the social hierarchy with my mega social awkwardness though
But yeah, preaching to the choir, but the higher you climb in corporate America, the less value you produce and the more you get paid.
Maybe we should skip unions and fast forward to finding like-minded people for well-regulated militias. Death to America
Being very good at what you do can lead to a company wanting to keep you there. Then when you want more money, because you are good at what you do, they balk because they aren't getting anything new and special from you but are taking on a cost. They rarely factor in the cost of having to replace you when you inevitably leave to make more money elsewhere.
Re: Management, they are just serving a totally different purpose most of the time. They are there to be both spies and organizers of employees. They might suck in terms of facilitating production itself but so long as they are willing to shmooze and suck up to the higher-ups, feed them information, and fire people when asked, they are doing their job well.
It is rare and challenging to be a manager that isn't basically a sellout. It is possible and I'm sure there are some here, but the vast majority of management are full-blown class traitors (or just conscious petty bourgeois depending on how you skice the class sundivision cake).
Anyways sorry you're being confronted with this pay inequitu. It is bullshit how the system functions.
