Born 1904 - Kilifarevo, Bulgaria, died May 28th 1925 - Belovo, Bulgaria.

Born in Kilifarevo, Bulgaria on 14th August 1904, the student-actress Mariola Sirakova belonged to a well-off family. She revolted from an early age against her social background and became an anarchist communist when she went to the Girls High School at Tarnovo in 1919.

She regularly took part in secret anarchist meetings.

She began a relationship with another Bulgarian anarchist, Gueorgui Cheitanov. She associated with other important anarchists like Petar Maznev, Georgi Simeonov Popov, and others. In her frre time, she acted in the Orpheus Theatre Company in Kilifarevo. In 1922-23 she studied in Pleven. She often hid wanted anarchists like Vassil Popov and Valko Shankov

In 1923 a military coup led to the butchery of 35,000 workers and peasants. The armed resistance that followed ended with the bomb attack by the Communist Party on Sofia cathedral which was aimed at the country's elite. A massive campaign of repression was then unleashed by the fascists and military against the revolutionary movement.

Mariola was arrested by the police, and brutally beaten. In June 1924 she returned to Kilifarevo. She was arrested again, but soon released. She gave support to the Kilifarevo cheta (armed guerilla unit), bringing them food, medicine and clothes and caring for the wounded.

Special police detachments were set up to hunt Cheitanov down. All the guerrillas united into a single detachment, being forced to disperse towards the end of May. Cheitanov and Mariola Sirakova, were caught in an ambush and arrested. They were taken to Belovo railway station and shot with 12 other prisoners on May 28th June 1925.

boy I have a lot of feelings about asking to be trained as a cook instead of just doing the pizza at the university dining hall I work at because it seems like a bunch of a lotta work for not of a lotta pay but like should I avoid learning and doing more things just to have the easier job?? probably not. idk

i have another option but it's my friend who very much wants me to work at the french restaurant she works at and learn from her and the chef but it's 1) 25 minute drive both ways (vs 2 minutes) and 2) less pay lol (probably idk wtf this place is gonna try to give me as a cook)

do you want to end up as a Chef? If not don't start. If you don't know what you want to do figure that out.

If you want to spend your life in a kitchen it sounds like you have been offered 2 good options. I'd Imagine the French restaurant would be more prestigious which could lead to further opportunities in the future.

No because i wanna cook food and not do food management. But i do want the title of chef

It would teach me better cooking definitely. The place I'm at currently would teach me how to better deal with feeding a shitload of people but the food isn't the best because it's dining hall stuff. Gotta tone it down for the muggles

But it's also $7 of gas per trip to the French place lol and less pay and my friend indicates they want me to be doing food stuff but it sounds more like a i'll be doing whatever needs done sorta job including weird shit like in the garden. I did dishes there two nights and doing dishes kinda sucks

The third option is I could do the pizza at my current job for a brainless way to pay rent and work at the French restaurant whenever i can, which will be whenever school shuts down

Can you have both? Like if you leave the cafeteria job will they hire you back in 3 months if the franchise restaurant sucks?

Maybe ask around and see if that's an option because of you want the chef title, but like the cafeteria job maybe they'll allow you to leave for a bit while you learn?

Kitchens are terrible, but a place some people can deal with, but you know this already. You should probably be thinking about getting the bag and not taking a pay cut to work what is almost certainly an even more stressful job unless you want to keep going with kitchens for a long time.

However, fuck me if it can't be rewarding to cook at scale sometimes, beyond just pizzas. Some of the best hours of my life were knocking out breakfast orders on a busy day. The rhythm, the flow, the satisfaction of so many orders knocked out.

I'd consider the restaurant if you really want to learn to cook hard, but the commute increase is a big deal, not to mention pay. I think learning to cook more at your cafeteria is a good idea if you feel bored with your current work. From what I've experienced and what I've read, a cafeteria or such gig is really a good spot for working a kitchen if you can make it work. Way fewer surprises.
