nothing quite speaks to my material concerns like Broadway level talent recording a lyrical miracle show tune about voting.

stg, I get how powerful media is as an influence, but so much effort by media seems oriented to performing mostly for itself, like someone wanking in front of a mirror. like we're all trapped in an infinitely long director's cut of Oceans 15 with a bunch of symmetrical people with private chefs and personal trainers taking turns winking at a camera that isn't hooked up to anything.

I lasted just ten seconds with it on mute before cringing out. Couldn't imagine it with sound

There’s something about the use of hip hop here, especially in that dorky Lin Manuel Miranda cadence, that harkens back to an early 90’s PSA using the worst, no-flow hip hop to teach the kids it’s cool and dope to not litter, yo.

Thanks for the warning. If I had seen this unprompted, I might show up on the news.

I like the fact that it's so far down the lineup (couldn't afford lin?) that they dropped their main gimmick of using a POC for a stuffy white guy/consider redheads as close enough.
