At every restaurant I always say I’m allergic to dairy and eggs.
With family this always sucks because they instantly say “he’s vegan”. That’s a good way to get meat snuck into my food. My order spit on, and most likely both.
But when I tell them that non-vegans despise vegans they act all confused on why anyone would hold any prejudice whatsoever.
Yeah i had that issue too, i just stopped eating out with them because they would not stop rip
Always be cool to other workers but seriously don’t go into this with me barista bro.
Its not really cool to l lie about food allergies; doing so makes it less likely for people with food allergies to be taken seriously.
Though tbh, I avoid eating out unless I literally have too anyway, been poisoned too many times from I assume cross contamination or negligence.
(and, I am also vegan, which doesn't make 'eating out' easier)
