It was Reddit: The Show for me. Obnoxious "REMEMBER THIS? REMEMBER THAT?" pandering clapter with a lot of "domestic violence and emotional neglect are both hilarious punchlines actually" moments.
And the "ironic" use of unfunny gags stretched out until they're supposedly very funny made me actually angry while watching. Like "haha fighting the chicken" or "haha barfing" or "lol boomer song reference."
It's still bewildering to me that I actually enjoyed the Orville.
i loved family guy as a kid so it's kind of a comfort/nostalgia show for me, even tho i don't find it funny as an adult really. every few years i'll go and catch up on the new seasons, and they always do this lame shit where peter will tell a 'joke' and then explain the joke, like explaining it is supposed to be funny. they used to do that too but now they do it a LOT. same type of shit as all the things you're describing.
