My favorite thing to do in the fall is carve pumpkins and roast up the seeds. The pups have Halloween bow ties on now. I WOULD say I'm doing 31 horror movies in October, but jfc I watch so many horror movies anyways that its not worth keeping track of.
How do you celebrate?
My favorite tradition is spinning up Hannah-Barbera themed accounts on Hexbear and screeching about pumpkin spice lattes.
Haven't celebrated much in a while, but I am definitely a member of the PUMPKIN ALL THE THINGS crowd. My faves are Dan Lepard's pumpkin whey bread (a savory option) and pumpkin scones and pumpkin spice bread.
Back when I lived out east, apple picking and cider donuts were a go-to. I kinda miss leaf peeping; it isn't the same on the West Coast.
I too am a big pumpkin fan. Already making plans this weekend to carve a pumpkin, and the apartment I live in has a front fence with spikey posts. I realized a few weeks ago I've never jammed a pumpkin on them, so gonna do that this year.
That sounds rad! I haven't carved a pumpkin in forever, I should do one this year.
Generally I like to watch as many horror movies as possible. Unfortunately this year I’m in a house with 3 people who hate horror movies.
The only one that’s an absolute must and really gets me feeling the holiday spirit is Halloween. One of my favorite movies in general.
Most of the last 8 years I’ve also gone to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal but I moved out of Florida a couple months ago and I’m not gonna make it this year unfortunately. It’s so fun.
Urging people to post spooky stuff in !creepy@hexbear.net
Its also renfare season in our area, and we love going to the renfare.
Carve pumpkins, and celebrate those who have passed on. I pour one out at midnight to honor their memory, and I guess wish them well if they are somehow connected to me still. It's usually a dark, beautiful night.
ShowUsually I don't, but this year I'm gunna' watch a horror movie I haven't' seen each day and either play the PS2 Castlevanias or I'm gunna' give Deadly Premonition 2 a try.
I made a real tradition of Halloween staycations. What I do from there is honestly up in the air. I really like Ross Scott's Halloween Game Dungeons.
Despite years of abandonment, my inner juggalo wakes from his slumber. Doesn't matter how many years go by, Halloween always gives me the urge for an ICP song or 5.
