    The origin of the word radical is the Latin word radicalis, meaning pertaining to roots. Radicalism is attacking the root cause of a problem, not its symptoms. In that way, socialism is truly radical.

    it is not radical to think we shouldn't optimize our economy to create widgets n gray goo. it is not radical to think that our economy shouldnt have a massive rentier and middle management and financial services class that adds literally no value to the actual freaking economy
