They do this because they can see the system isn't working, but they don't want the system to change, so they have to come up with another explanation for why it's not working.
The one time I dared to visit /r/KotakuInAction years after gate, it was to see what the cryptofascist spin was regarding all the sex pestery and creepy shit happening in Blizzard offices.
Their take?
