I dance a lot. Out of all the dance communities I've been in, house dancers have been the most welcoming.

Like any other form of art under capitalism, dance has been colonized. Despite the colonization, when I go to places where people practice dance, studios that do house are probably the only place I can go to where I still feel encouraged by my peers even though I'm not very good at it.

Right on. If you live in an area where there's house dancing, you might meet a comrade.

I don’t have money for nightclubs and I’m sober. They’re not the ideal place for either of those two things, I also have pretty bad depression and find it hard to get out of bed. This website is the most social interaction I get now a days.

Not nightclubs. A lot of house dancing happens as a practice. I mean like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gdom_GKgq6A

I can’t think of anything more anxiety inducing than dancing in a bright room infront of people. What I used to like about night clubs is that it was dark and relatively anonymous.

My bad, that was a bad example of what I usually do, which is dancing in the corner with a few people.
