Wasting resources on making robots in the self evidently inefficient shape of humans when they could be literally anything else for no other reason than to satisfy some bazinga ass desire to recreate yesteryear sci-fi movies (and, I have to assume, slaves)
It's part of a running theme with bazinga tech: devices that don't need or even suggest any changes to the infrastructure and built environment around us.
