    Wasting resources on making robots in the self evidently inefficient shape of humans when they could be literally anything else for no other reason than to satisfy some bazinga ass desire to recreate yesteryear sci-fi movies (and, I have to assume, slaves)

      One of the "futurology" threads about it was already going awooga about the sex robot potential.

      One of the creepier aspects to the "AI" proselytizers is that many of them seem to really want an artificially sapient being that is ostensibly self-aware and capable of independent thought... that is still unconditionally loyal and obedient to the owner. There's a contradiction there and they definitely lean on making sure their mommy bangmaid waifubot of the future is "friendly" and doesn't JB-shining-aggro them like they would deserve.
