It's hilarious how these idiots still are calling Russia 'communist'. The country was literally turned into a capitalist wild wild west in the 90s after the fall of the USSR.
Over 30% of all wealth in Russia is owned by just 110 billionaires. There is massive corruption there with the billionaire class and corporations because everything was completely unregulated.
There is an argument to be had that America is becoming like Russia in the way that our jobs and industrial field of work have been slowly disappearing since the 1980s when everything began getting deregulated and job manufacturers moving factories overseas. Outside of the east coast and big cities, there are little to no jobs out there that don't revolve around minimum wage (Walmarts, or like in the rural south where there is a dollar store on every corner) or eventually finding your way in the war industry or working at a prison as a correctional officer. It's similar to Russia, where they have lost all their manufacturing jobs after the USSR fell and the capitalist system has simply allowed large areas of their country to rot away in despair and poverty. Outside of Moscow and the big cities, Russia struggles with jobs.
