If you separate art from the artist, what the fuck are you left with?

Generally, what a typical treat defender wants you to see: just spectacle, noise, sensation. No subtext. Nothing else derived from it but cheap brain chemical releases.

That's bullshit, of course. They absorb the messages even if they're not aware of what they're absorbing... or don't care.
