Yeah, hammock with a tarp as a canopy. You have to have an underquilt in cooler weather; there's even tarps/tents that have stove jacks for wood burning tent stoves. There's all kinds of ways you can string up traps for a good shelter.
Look up stealth camping on YouTube. Bushcraft is another good topic to look up.
