The idea is that if you visit you have to post, so there's just more stream of consciousness and more content. Imo it works really well in some regards.

I feel like 196 and the kind of stuff posted there is more silly humor than what usually gets posted in Hexbear's meme comm or Lemmygrad's MoreTankie196. I've made posts in blahaj.zone/c/196 while we were federated with them that I wouldn't make in the other two because they wouldn't fit the vibe there. I think that there is a space for a 196 community on Hexbear in addition to existing communities, and we could have a 196 comm without the Vaush support, anticommunism, and other issues that are present in other, similar online spaces.
I wish it had an intuitive name like c/postbeforeyouleave or c/youmustpost
