I actually watched half an hour of the parkour civilization movie. I might’ve watched the whole thing but it seems like each little chapter of the movie was at first its own short video, which were then stitched together into a two hour masterpiece. But if each chapter is five minutes long, then the first 30 seconds to a minute is spent recounting the last chapter you just watched.

Usually I find stuff like GTA RP or Second Life to be embarrassing*. Like soap operas with boring stories, just shit production, and dreadful actors. But there is a sort of raw childlike creativity to Parkour Civilization that I admire.

*I don’t find roleplaying or LARP themselves objectionable. That’s just playing with friends. It’s when that is recorded and shown to audiences that I expect more. And even that can be done well, usually when done by actual entertainers. Lots of actual play TTRPG stuff is good because it’s made by people who know how to improv and how to tell stories.
