    If I told my past self, maybe 30 years ago, that the future had labor stealing machines that could necromantically appropriate an actor's voice (as well as likeness) posthumously and indefinitely ever after, and that these machines require databases that are accelerating climate change while calamities from it are already visible, present, and obvious, and that there are selfish treat hogs that fucking defend and justify this with arguments about how those "aren't real jobs" and/or bad readings of science fiction ("You're just afraid of the future, which is why you don't like the Torment Nexus!" smuglord ) along with misanthropic bullying put-downs condemning "emotion" in totally-not-emotional ways, my past self would probably be like this:
