HE SPEAKS SPANISH TOO?!?! So Slovenian, English, French, German, and Spanish. How the fuck does one fit that many languages in their head, while not being a linguist or professional polyglot? I wouldn’t be surprised if he spoke fucking Proto-Indo European at this point.

He also doesn't tic all over the place when speaking Slovenian. Perhaps he was traumatised by his English teacher.

Honestly though all languages are clusterfucks in their own ways. English may be a clusterfuck in pronunciation and spelling, but conjugation is super easy for the most part and the lack of gender and cases makes both memorization of vocab and grammar rules easier.

maybe because he speaks french very well (he studied lacan at paris XIII) and they're both romance languages?

He said quizas wrong, but his pronounciation is generally pretty good. It sounds like he's studied latin/italian and borrows some of the phonetics from that.

I think it's more that the the phonetic system of Slovenian is much more similar to that of Spanish than that of English, so his accent is much less noticeable in Spanish. English is a notoriously terrible language to pronounce if you're not brought up with it.
