Israel’s UNRWA ban a ‘new level in war against UN’, Palestinian envoy says

The Knesset passed a bill on Monday banning the UN agency for Palestine refugees from operating in Israel.

I legit don’t understand how they can block a UN agency? Like, what? Is that legal - I know they’re killing UN peacekeepers which should also be illegal but this seems a step even beyond that. Can countries just ban UN agencies from working there?

Seems like a step up from murdering every UNRWA employee, which I assume was the only alternative anyone in the knesset considered.
