    Education has been trending downwards (in America) for a long while. COVID and lockdowns all contributed to accelerating that but the root problem is just inadequate resources.

    Also, the "lockdowns" could not have been as bad if there had also been funding to properly deliver remote learning. Access to education is poor and worse during and since the pandemic
