This could be nothing but it could also be a signal that a peace deal is in the works.
It's hard to say given that the US has been quietly continuing trade with Russia this whole time. It could just be expediency.
It looks like case by case basis for specific banks to do energy settlements.
@xiaohongshu@hexbear.net is this them trying to get Russia hooked on the dollar again?
I think it's mostly just pragmatism on the part of the US. They need Russian resources, so they're going to do business with Russia. It's worth noting that despite all the rhetoric over the past two years, the US never really stopped doing business with Russia in practice.
