I think two decades old is plenty retro
The Nintendo New 3DS in shambles.
"Retro" just means "it happened before I was old enough to enjoy it".
Just like "old" means "anyone older than me".
Maybe a more objective measure is "if it is older than people who are now adults, it's retro".
