My suggestion is "The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood" by Howard Pyle. It's one of my favourite books, I read it recently and it still holds up. The entire book is just guys being dudes.
Alternatively, I remember that the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was a fun read, especially the first book in the series. But I haven't read it since high school, I would like to read it again.
