A word of advice- cut the shrooms at the base instead of pulling them out. It keeps the mycelium healthier so you get better second flushes.
I tested this theory with half of my 12 tubs once, I did not notice any better flushes on either but it was a heck of a lot more work to cut compared to twist n’ pull.
With cutting, any piece of shroom that falls off in the tub and isn’t connected to the mycelia network will rot, risking contamination.
double groovy
I bet you can get at least 2 flushes out of that substrate if you keep it hydrated and clean.
Nice job, they look great!
With the next flush, ya oughtta consider sautéing a couple up fresh with a little butter while you have the opportunity.
They're super tasty and if exposure to stove temps for the length of time it takes to cook mushrooms degrades psilocybin at all, it's negligible.
Well, yes, but are these special kind of mushrooms welcome there? I'm subbed and it seems like it's mostly just gormet mushrooms.
That is true, but in many mycology forums psychedelics are a forbidden topic. So no, in practice, mushrooms are not all mushrooms. I've been slapped down too many times in the past to just blindly assume the mycology com is for literally anything mushroom related.
That's valid! We're fuckin way cool here though
I can't speak for all one dozen hexbear mycology posters, but I enthusiastically welcome all mushroom posting under one large mushroom-shaped tent.
I'm sure it's fine, almost no one posts there anyways.
