Fuck the EU

I used to be more charitable towards it, until I realised they issued the directives requiring EU countries to privatise their rail networks. Also it's largely just a club of capitalist wankoids derived from the anti-soviet pacts that preceded it. 9 of the 11 founding members were liberals, conservatives or Christian Democrats. The other two were anti-soviet socialists.

All the benefits of EU membership for citizens like freedom of movement and infrastructure investment are hallmarks of socialism, pretty much everything else is neoliberal garbage. Having said that, my country is so much further right than Brussels that the EU has actually inched us towards the centre, which is fine I guess.

Of ourse it's undemocratic, it is undemocratic and byzantine by design. "Tyrannical" with regards to organisations like the EU is a meaninngless phrase. Its not like they send goon squads to your door if you say they suck, but they still exert power over member states in order to implement a neoliberal agenda.

Rightoids only disliked it over regulatory powers and immigrants, even though both of those things are pretty much non-issues.
