    It's remarkable how few people understand that SSNs are not randomly distributed, the first six digits indicate the location where the number was issued. So yes actually, axeing employees based off of the first digit of the SSN can constitute discrimination.

      Yeah exactly, really funny that he hasnt thought about this "plan" for more than 5 seconds. iirc they did change the SSN system to be more random a few years ago but I think think the first few digits are still the region of birth
