Absolutely nothing will break as a result

Has this guy ever worked in any sort of organization before? If you get rid of half the people you will inevitably fire people who maintain critical systems and need to hire them back (often with a massive pay raise), like musk did with Twitter. You will also not change the amount of work to be done, you will just make the remaining half work twice as much. This is like saying you only need one kidney, while technically correct, the other kidney cannot take twice the stress for that long and is very likely to fail. This will cause so much insecurity and burnout that everyone who can leave, will.

He graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor's degree in biology and later earned a degree from Yale Law School. Ramaswamy worked as an investment partner at a hedge fund before founding Roivant Sciences. He also co-founded an investment firm, Strive Asset Management.

        He hasn't.

Unironically this is what Che thought even revolutionaries should do, that being stuck in a “desk” job disconnects you from the work being done so you need to get your hands dirty. The man himself would go and just cut sugarcane in the fields some days.

Its actually really enjoyable to get outside and do some manual labor if its not like so much your bodies being damaged. Its great exercise, and spending time outside and in the dirt and sun is good for your mental health too. It only becomes an issue when your forcing people to do it for long hours with no breaks like capitalism does.

Wait it's not normal for your body to shut down when it's exposed to heat over 70 degrees Fahrenheit?

Generally agree but the kidney analogy is wildly incorrect.

de-esprit-de-corps [Easy - Failure]: Just randomly fire half of all people. This entire organisation is rotten to the core at exactly the lines or every second randomly selected person. From the ashes you will be sure to make your lean, mean, governing machine.

really mentally lazy people love completely arbitrary bullshit like this because they think "it makes sense". it's also hilarious to me that they think because they've "come up" with this "system" that "makes sense" then somehow "absolutely nothing will break".

there is not a single thing in existence which you can shrink by half that wont cause something to break lol

then, shockingly, entire departments associated with processing separation paperwork are liquidated, leaving everyone in limbo about payroll, health benefits, etc.

these people are dumb as hell, imagining you can lay off half of a giant organization that interfaces with every other large organization, including every state government unilaterally. everything would immediately seize and at least half of those "not laid off" would put their hands in their pockets as their entire reporting chain was just shredded by lottery.

I hope there are still people working in some defunct regulatory body that was in charge of telegrams or something and they've just been collecting checks and posting on Hexbear.

They are random now, but that only started in 2011, so literally all current employees would have non-random SSNs.

They should do this for landowners. Even SSN? We're nationalizing all your property. Odd SSN? Better hope it doesn't start with an even digit.
