Do cats pass trauma onto their kits?
Do dogs dream of where they would roam?
Do you think a dolphin could learn a trade?
Do you think a monkey could fix a phone?

Maybe we've known, and I just don't,
I'll look it up at the end of this post
but an answer is only the start of the thread.
Did you know elephants mourn their dead?

And dolphins have language,
and pigs can play Pong;
Well, not exactly,
though may not be long.

And crows get recursion,
crows can make hooks.
Crows have good memory–
could crows read books?

And speaking of crows,
do they long for new nests?
Cuttlefish and them
pass the marshmallow test.

Bar biomechanics, I think we could find
things taken-for-granted, took as divine,
around and in-waiting, escaping the mind.
Someday, soon, a matter of time.

To me the writing feels like a mixture of Bo Burnham and Dr. Seuss. So basically, Bill Wurtz. Yeah, these could be the lyrics to a Bill Wurtz song, with vocal harmonies hitting on the words at the end of the sentences.
