I just had to share some exciting news! I recently reconnected with someone I dated long ago when my nesting partner and I opened up our relationship. It's been years since we last saw each other, and it felt fantastic to meet in person again! Looking back, I realize our original split came down to my immaturity, but they were incredibly gracious and welcomed me back into their life.

I have to admit, I’m a little worried about how things might be with my nesting partner, but they’ve reassured me that they’re feeling compersion, which is such a relief! Overall, I'm just over the moon about this joyful poly experience and grateful for the chance to see my previous partner again. It feels so good to share this happy moment!

I am as well (edit: i agree that is one of the benefits of polyam as a relationship structure) , I think I can come back to my new "former" partner as an improved person thanks to having the good sense to see how valuable of a person there were/are to me and try to gracefully bow out for a while to really focus on growing into the kind of partner they and my nesting partner deserve.
