The official invidio.us instance will be shutting down on 1st Sept and the lead developer will be stepping away from the project.

    I hate to say it, but I was expecting this to happen, and I never used it for this specific reason. r/linux banned the use of YouTube links—requiring users to submit invidio.us links instead—and now all those posts will have broken links.

      Hopefully invidio.us will be replaced with a redirect page so those links continue to work. https://github.com/iv-org/invidious/issues/1321

      In theory I think you could replace invidio.us/stringofletters to youtube.com/stringofletters and get the video anyways but yeah this is going to be a problem
