The macabre ‘Death and the soldier’ (Soldat und Tod) painting by The Austrian artist, Hans Larwin, 1917. It is part of the collection at the Museum of Military History in Vienna, Austria. Larwin was an official war artist for the Austro-Hungarian empire.
