Basically title. I have been the kind of twerp to yawn through history lessons all my life, and now I am motivated to learn more. Having no experience/expertise in finding leftist media, without being introduced to it by friends, I might need a helping hand.

I want to reiterate that I'm seeking something that reads similar to a survey paper. Something that covers several impactful leftist movements and their contributions/take aways. That way, I can identify what interests me and pursue that history further.

If there are any primers you all recommend, I'd be really appreciate them.

Look at the history of socialism post I made on !books@hexbear.net, here , it covers almost everything from 1789 to 1918 and has tons of secondary source recommendations (it was a class purposefully skipping Marx though as people taking it were already broadly familiar with his and Engels work).
