I'm taking into account of the fact that Israel is literally committing a fucking genocide and all that actively while being funded by the US, but holy fucking shit, do I notice a lot of similarities between the two countries. Hell, I'd personally go as far as to describe modern Japan as the Israel of East Asia. Both are extremely reactionary nations with the Empire's hand so far up their asses like sock puppets

To elaborate, while Japanese people in general tend to be more 'polite' and 'reserved' in nature - especially compared to the barbaric Zionists of Israel that are straight up going mask off with their fascism and hatred towards Arabs, it is still pretty well known that Japanese society as a whole are still rife with racism and xenophobia - especially towards Chinese and Koreans. I genuinely feel that the racial attitudes exhibited by Japanese people are comparable to those of Zionists.

This isn't even to mention another well-known fact - that Japan loves to whitewash their history and brainwash their populace that they did nothing wrong with the Ainus, that they did not commit the most depraved massacres, removeds, and experiments towards countless Chinese, South Asians, and Koreans.

So by combining the two factors, I would be quite confident that had it not been fact that modern Japan is quite literally declawed and defanged, and that China, unlike Palestine, has a powerful standing army and nuclear weapons, poses a real formidable opponent, Japan would have been acting quite similarly to how Israel acts because I'd be sure that Japan would be quite keen to be doing the same shit that Israel is currently doing in Palestine and repeat their past crimes towards other East Asians.

Another reason to hate modern Japan would because their country is literally a cyberpunk dystopia rife with capitalism in every corner, causing high depression and suicide rates, with a declining population.

So yeah, I genuinely feel that Japan deserves far more hate than it gets currently.

Israel is literally committing a fucking genocide

It's hard to overstate how crucial that really is. What a country could or might do in different circumstances isn't going to be weighted as heavily by people as what's happening in front of their eyes. No one here is going to defend Japan (at least, I hope not), but present-day they (and most of the West, which isn't and historically hasn't been any better) are overshadowed by the sheer levels of grotesque and gleeful inhumanity on display by Israel.

You're right and Israel (and by extension the US) is and should be the main focus of all leftist communities but there is this sort of prevailing feeling that Japan is "tragic" or "fallen" in a sense, and treated too much like a victim.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not referring to or defending the nuclear bombings - they were an inhuman act of pure evil - committed by the US. But as for why Japan is declining by itself or why Japan is suffering so much as a whole in the modern age, I feel that many people tend to overlook the fact that much of what happened - and what is happening currently - Japan did it to itself. Yes, the US has its hand deep up its ass, but then nations like Cuba are arguably getting fucked much harder than the US, and they still maintain a sense of moral decency in which its society is largely relatively happy.

Maybe its just me and I'm overthinking it but I feel that Japan as a whole deserves much more hate than its due

Japan is way too isolationist to justify hate. Fucked up stuff happens mostly on the territories they have sovereignty over (except ww2) .
