I suppose making NYC a no-fly zone is one way to prevent a 9/11 from ever happening again.

For sure but as much as I love trains, I'm gonna have to go with an eight hour flight over a two day high speed rail trip for most occasions!

Smh get out of the capitalist mindset of rushing yourself and enjoy a peaceful 2 day train ride across the country

          Okay fine, you win.

How about we just build a massive high-speed rail transfer station at Gander, so the transatlantic flights from Europe can land in North America and passengers can take the train to their final destinations

Somewhere in Canada, it's where they redirected all the flights after 9/11. IIRC it's a pretty small town and they were incapable of handling that much international traffic.

Tl;dr it’s an airport in Newfoundland with a big runway that handled a lot of refueling stops for transatlantic flights until the 80’s
