I think it's too late for that because the account lost any goodwill it might have had. Even we changed the password, it's just not worth the effort. That would have been a good thing to do when it first opened.

Until this, I was genuinely impressed that we stayed out of the specific community megas for the most part, so I don't think anybody used it for pretending to be a different gender or ethnicity or anything. We had some unspoken rules that I hoped would stick, but people can't help themselves and even with restrictions, it'll just happen again. Was just a matter of how long it took.

Bureaucrat did post in the em_poc mega once, which is why the ban was able to be made. It's always possible that the person using the account at the time was an em_poc but of course it's impossible to tell.

Makes sense. I know we had a few posts in the trans mega too. Hard to keep up with our posting pace. But in any case, either we get banned or delete the account. The OP of this post and the one arguing with mods are asleep or something.

I was talking with CARCOSA in the other thread, do you think that Bureaucrat posts being deanonymized only for mods/admins would improve this?

I think that would ruin the experiment. It was perfect the way it was. It is okay to let it go. It's a testament to the community that it survived so long, I expected it to be banned within a day.

There's no way to currently do that because there's no way to link accounts to other accounts. We could theoretically make a list of everyone we shared the password with but you cant link posts to individual posters.

just let it go, it was a neat experiment that failed spectacularly. Just another fun bit of site lore now.
