Why would it be weird? It's a very popular (even if mostly for the meme) song that he gets paid tens of thousands of dollars to perform, performed for free for family.

Lil Pump shared a tribute for his loved one on her actual birthday, Friday, December 20, writing: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA PUMP 90 YEARS OLD ME & MY GRANDMA TAKE MEDS ! I love you more than I love my other grandma. I used to take Percocet from your cabinet, & you never notice this why [sic] I love you #first plug. Your the best ever ❤️."

Lot to unpack there and I don't even follow rap.

okay, definitely don't steal medicine, but also this seems really sweet? this reads like he knows she loves him unconditionally, and he treasures that knowledge. ❤️

I'm happy that he knows he has someone in his corner no matter what. we should all be so lucky!

edit: I don't know the song at all though, maybe it's gross to perform for your grandma 🤷 idk. I just think of my elderly relatives seeing the younguns dancing and singing and loving it, and (ignoring the "thanks for the pills!" part) this seems innocent and sweet to me.
