These guys really know their stuff, I highly recommend checking this out no matter your experience level with chemical weapons.
This of course DOES NOT make you qualified to treat all people, take a local 20 hr street medic course from your local anarchists if you want to do that.
edit: making the stupid quote up there properly on newlines
FYI reddit has a leftist street medics sub that just started
I'm not affiliated with the sub past subscribing to it.
I won't be able to make it. Do they record the presentation and make it available for download later?
they do not (privacy reasons) but they are going to be doing these (along with their Street Action/Harm Reduction seminar) many more times, this is the third one i believe. check their IG for updates, they tend to list the dates for the next several ahead of time. i don't believe they have a twitter.
while a Zoom Seminar (rather than a Meeting) doesn't allow participants to use their mics and cams, it's a always a good idea to disable those when not in use. put up some tape, turn them off in ur settings, etc.
also don't sign up w/ ur real full name, just keep it anonymous
I'd run it in a VM or container if possible. never know what it has stored locally that it might report
So for regular people, it seemed to me like the takeaway was, get the person out of the area, have them sit on their hands, lean their head back, use tiny drops of saline or water to the nose part of the eye, washing outwards, then get them the fuck home to decontaminate.
Natural body flushing is the only cure, so coughing and blowing your nose is encouraged. Don't touch your face or fuck with your clothes. If they're in respiratory distress for longer than 5 minutes after the exposure, they need to go to the hospital.
Is that about right?
i believe it's 45 minutes after exposure, but that's what i got out of it
