"My dog is non verbal, can't recognize social cues and has to be told with predetermined language what to do. He gets extremely uncomfortable when he doesn't get his walks on schedule and he has a single minded fascination with certain specific activities (sniffing butts)."

there's a theory of animal cognition by an autistic zoologist that animals are basically all autistic

I don't know if there's any validity to it at all but it's a thinker

Seems unintuitive to me to use terms for human neurology for animals with diverse neurological forms but I'm not a zoologist so what the fuck do I know about any of this?

Dogs invented the downward facing dog pose. You ever see a cat really get a stretch in on a scratch post? Fuckers go belly to the wall, ass to the sky. Crazy good stretch if you copy them.

    DONT GET ME STARTED

…Ok, but you got my started. Vaccine reactions, specifically vaccine associated sarcomas, are a real documented risk for animals getting vaccinated. They are associated with adjuvanted vaccines, especially the rabies vaccine. They are rare, but we know they happen.

We still recommend vaccinating your animals.

These numbskulls are inventing fake shit to get worried about instead of educating themselves about the real, actual scary things.

I hope their dogs don’t get rabies, because there is no antemortem test 🙃

2029: Majority of Americans are refusing to wear chaps because they don't believe the roaming rabid dog packs are real.

I know an autistic dog. He spends all day staring at the ceiling because he likes the way lights look. He hates being pet, but he loves hiding under a table where someone is sitting. He doesn't understand social norms

I mean, I’m a little skeptical of them because they’re made for profit and probably have way less oversight than human vaccines, but it’s more about sanitation and quality than some Jenny McCarthy shit
