If Trump had just tuned the crazy down to 9 and been a little more on-the-ball with COVID, this year would have been Reagan '84.
The Republicans love him. The Democrats put up a nothingburger of a nominee with a loser VP. The media spent two years reporting on Russian election hacking while the streets were packed with people protesting police brutality. And the ideology on the right is running fast and thick in schools, in churches, and all the fuck over online. Billions spent on an election while people are begging for any kind of economic relief. Talking heads are endlessly debating exactly where the line is on fascism, as though picking it out is going to save us.
2022 is going to be a fucking bloodbath.
