I never said that. Not even close. I have nothing against socialit people. I definetely dont't have any sort of issue with people coming together and trying to make their country better. I DONT dislike these countries because theyre socialist.

In fact, most of these countries are chill as fuck.

Theres one in particular I don't like, and thats mostly because of their nasty habit of censoring anything they dont like.

I meant what I said, but it feels like everyone sort of fell into the echo chamber and gave me shit because i didnt blindly agree with a faulty rhetoric and a bad faith arguement.

what makes this argument "bad faith?" it's saying this:

if you call yourself a socialist but don't support any socialist movement at all, you aren't a socialist.

if you support most of these people/countries, then great! but how is this bad faith, at all?

Yeah but also no. I agree with you. If you cant support any socialist movement then youre probably not a socialist. But what this meme is also implying is that you cant be critical of any of these nations if you want to also be a socialist.

But to also be fair, that might come more from my understand of the meme and not ops original intent. The way its worded is all westerners are like that, but i guess it doesnt really work in a meme format to start making exclusions.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. But the meme itself says "hate," not "I am critical of." Being critical of leftist movements are super important, and the meme is making fun of the stereotype of a western "leftist" whose only radical opinions are legalizing weed and getting free healthcare.

Yeah, I sorta realized that. I purged my comments because i realized they didnt contribute to anything other than making myself look dumb

it takes a lot of strength to admit you were wrong, glad we could have a productive conversation, comrade.

DemoSocs are liberals and history has shown time and time again they will side with fascists and exterminate anti capitalists.

but that doesn't mean I support all branches and types of socialism

yes, like a liberal. DemSocs want to reform capitalism, which isn't possible. And yes, Bernie is a liberal. The best one, but still a liberal.

Pre revolution, those countries were utter basket cases. Post revolution, they brought land reform (broke up massive land holdings and gave them to the landless), ended their high illiteracy, and brought in much better health care and human services. And they do it despite the West sanctioning, sabotaging, and trying to destroy them anyway possible.

Literally any anti communist story coming out of the West has HUGE provable lies and exaggerations, and it always has massive obvious fascists claiming it. Go ahead, name one "oh but the USSR did..." and I'll show you a story of academic fraud and some guy that thought that Hitler wasn't that bad.
