It’s not complicated. The Biden administration wants the support of both those who see trans people as deserving the same rights as cis people and those who would like to see trans people excluded from society.
What is complicated is that the Biden administration wants the support not of me or you if we fall into one of those groups, but the support of both the national and regional bourgeoisie who do so.
I recently saw H&M clothing describe me as “divided.” I feel like Biden needs their brand manager, because me and my daughter just stood in the mall trying understand what that meant.

HM sells some products under a "divided" label/sub-brand, and the clothes seem to be less gendered than their normal products, but also trendier/edgier? I reckon the name is more about marketing and appealing to a younger, trendier crowd than implying the three genders are "man", "woman", "divided"
