I keep thinking of bad things and then say "wow I bet Hexbear would like this thing" and then I smugly smile while shit leaks out of my pants. Both ends.

I've been seeing posts from this instance for awhile because I can't figure out how block specific instances and everytime I open a thread it is a cesspool of a mental mastrubating echo chamber.

i wish i could block tankies too. just the thought of one being next to me scares me so much that i wet myself quite frequently. they mentally masturbate to bad things instead of good things.

Can confirm that I mentally masturbate to line going down instead of line going up.

Yeah? Which things are "mental masturbation" and why do they bother you? What specifically has someone said?

This post is obviously circlejerking, for deliberate effect, it's irony and a joke. What actually serious things are you talking about?

We have daily megathreads on theory and current events. Right now we have a pinned cross post from 3 years ago, encouraging all Lemmy users to read a book about trans liberation. What more theory do you want? Have you ever visited one of our comms, or do you just land here from browsing Top All?

Our meta posts probably get more upvotes because theyre funny to us (and apparently other Lemmy instances) and we have a culture of balancing out serious shit with a heavy dose of irony

literally just open http://hexbear.net and you will find evidence against what you claim

okay idk who needs to hear this but if you have an echo chamber do not use it as a cesspool. and if you must use your echo chamber as a cesspool, do not masturbate in it. You risk disease, hearing loss, and smelling really bad.

Yeah it’s a bit weird where the echo chamber setting is. The tankie Lemmy devs don’t want people blocking instances.

It’s on this settings page under the FAQs

              this movement you have here

my dude, this is an internet forum. despite what some may think, this site is not in fact the front lines of the movement that will bring about communism.

so I don't think anyone gives two shits about convincing you of anything. best I can dream of is getting you to learn the definitions of words like "prole".

The lecturing on how we need to be better to achieve our supposed aims by making sure we don't hurt others' feelings is so common I don't know why. It has the same energy as when men complain to women or feminists telling them 'if you were a bit nicer, maybe I wouldn't be misogynistic'.

I'm having a hard time understanding why people engage with us in that way. Do they think they are helping? Is it to put themself on some sort of moral high ground or to indicate the extent of how polite society works?

I don't engage negatively, but I can hardly blame comrades who do especially after one can see their patience wearing thin after several exchanges with similar rhetoric in sequence.

they're not supposed to be huge. I think that's a lemmy bug. On hexbear.net they have a CSS property that limits their width to 56px.

That's my understanding. It raises standard image macros to another level. I think that bug is why a lot of people dislike them, but it makes it hilarious to me.
